Our Story
We’re delighted to have rebranded this year from Simply Sausages to Griddle & Crumb. The new name reflects our expanded menu and our passion for proper British comfort food. Alongside our legendary sausages, we now proudly serve authentic Proper Cornish pasties and the much-loved Moo Pies pie & mash.
At Griddle & Crumb, our aim is simple: to serve quality, traditional, hearty street food at fair, reasonable prices — always with warm, polite service and a genuine smile. Everything is cooked fresh to order using good ingredients, and we take real pride in generous portions that satisfy.

It is an absolute pleasure to be part of the Beach Street family. This vibrant seafront brings together amazing food, brilliant hospitality, and that unmistakable feel-good atmosphere that makes every visit special. We’re proud to play our small part in it and can’t wait to welcome both familiar faces and new customers throughout the summer.
A Personal Note from the Owner
I’m old-school. People of my generation didn’t really talk about depression — if you were feeling down, you’d go to the pub, have a pint, and get on with it. This year has brought quite a few health challenges my way, but the kindness and support I’ve received from customers, fellow traders, and the local community has been genuinely overwhelming and heart-warming.
My wife Stella and I want to say a huge thank you. We truly look forward to welcoming you at our little catering trailer on Beach Street this summer — come hungry, leave happy, and we’ll be the ones smiling behind the counter.
